Of course it wasn't exactly practical but it was beautiful in that vintage, beautifully styled, little bit twee kind of way.
But then of course the kitchen actually belongs to a photographer not Sophie Dahl.
Did you watch the show? What did you think?
I liked the kitchen, that is all I'm saying.
Oh what a shame it wasn't her kitchen!!I really think that diminishes the whole programme- which actually I quite enjoyed...
ReplyDeleteDid you see the programme about Elizabeth Davids life?
Hope the rain stops soon -the plants did need it though...
Warm Wishes,

love the tiles!
ReplyDeletelooks like a public toilet!
I enjoyed the programme (LOVED the kitchen!) and really don't mind that it isn't her kitchen...
ReplyDeleteI LOVED the kitchen, esp the tiles. When I actually own my own home they’re the first thing making an appearance.
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy the program and theme of this episode being indulgence for ones self (esp as I’m a single gal living alone now!) although as Sophie is a veggie and I detest fish the recipes weren’t exactly for me this week!

I don't know the program... but i love the tiles too!
ReplyDeleteI really loved the entire show. I felt awful for her that it was criticised so badly, she clearly just enjoys good food and cooking.
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen itself was so beautifully styled! I couldn't help the odd sigh over the blender, the crockery, the wallpaper, the pots and pans - heaven!
I totally loved the programme and thought Sophie was honest and delightful. Those people who have had the knives out for her should go away and be quiet, I hope Sophie takes no notice of them!
ReplyDeleteI too was completely beguiled by the set design - so beautifully thought out and although it did run over into slightly too 'twee' I couldn't help coveting nearly everything in there! :-)
